Back in May 2023, we made a start on a “small” extension in Kirkby Lonsdale for G Ridding LTD who was the main contractor.
Our works included demolishing an existing extension, setting out the new extensions, and renewing the sewer line from an external manhole so we could maintain 1/40 falls throughout the property.
We also ripped up all the existing floors, and installed Radeon sump’s, along with a Radeon barrier, coupled with a suspended solid slab, cast onto the inside leaf of blockwork with a double layer or mesh around the perimeter.
The detail and amount of work that went into the groundwork’s was unbelievable, never the less we turned it around and by the end of June, we had the reinforced slab in, and it was handed over to the block layers with the first phase of our work completed….
We returned in February 2024 once the scaffolding was removed, to make a start on the surface water drainage, soakaway and the perimeter ducting, installing water, electric, and data ducts, with access chambers/pull pits at various intervals, ensuring ease of installation for the team following on behind installing external lights, speakers and the hot tub!
Once the weather picked up a bit, we made a start on the SUDs compliant path and driveway, while also framing out the planters with setts from G&L Sharpe &Sons, along with the entire house.
This was a great job to be apart of, with an incredible amount of detail from all the trades involved in this one!
